Brown has a political science degree from Lehigh, where he became a starter during his sophomore season. His career scoring high was 20 points against Brown, during his junior season. His rebounding bests were 11, as a junior against Drew and in his senior season, against Cornell.
A resident of Amityville, N.Y., Brown stood only 5-foot-10 as a high school freshman, but four years later, as a Lehigh freshman, had grown to 6-9. His first name is Egyptian for "spirit and embodiment of God." His parents are Spencer and Sandra Brown, and he has two sisters, Siopia and Shinkassha. He lists Kevin Garnett as his favorite NBA player, and the Los Angeles Lakers as his favorite team.
